Dear Fellow Realtor:
There are a few main resources that I've utilized over the years
that have helped me to achieve my goals. More than anything was
having role models to look up to and emulate, both
professionally and on a personal scale. Donald Trump, Robert
Kiyosaki, John C. Maxwell and Warren Buffett to name a few. I
have to say that my independent studies of the "business greats"
have helped me more than anything in my sales success. Much more
than my traditional college education.
These business titans and real estate moguls have helped instill
in me the character and determination necessary to overcome
obstacles, battle adversity, continue to set higher goals and
continue to achieve them. Even at my age, I am the proud owner
of two multi-million dollar companies, both of which I've built
from the ground up, and four other companies that haven't quite
reached the million dollar mark yet. There were several times I
wanted to give up, but I always persevered.
The 1st company I built, A2ZCDS, Inc. (http://www.a2zcds.com/Corporate/Corporate.htm),
I borrowed $350,000 from an investment group in India and was
paying nearly 30% on the money. After putting in 70-80 hour work
weeks throughout college I was the sole owner of a multi-million
dollar company. The experience I gained in building this company
has helped me to successfully build my real estate brokerage
firm, acquire over three million dollars in real estate
investments with no money down, form several other start-up
companies and most importantly taught me to never give up.
In real estate I constantly have to overcome objections to make
the sale. My first challenge is identifying what the buyer’s
objection is, and then overcoming it. I go by the philosophy of
"help, don't sell." I go up to bat for my clients when needed
and ALWAYS represent THEIR best interests, not my own. I do
every deal like it’s my own and my clients see this. It's
important to stay active in the business and be out in the field
every day. You have to go out and create the deal; it doesn’t
just come to you. Constant communication is very important and I
truly believe your business must continue to grow, or perish.
You must continue to grow as a person as well and never stop
learning. You have to know your market like the back of your
hand or your clients will see right through you.
I also never sell anything I don't believe in, and I buy into
what I believe in as well. This will carry its weight in gold
with your buyer's when they see you putting your own money
there. Use technology to your advantage and stay on the cutting
edge. Stay sharp and physically fit, have contacts in the field,
and most importantly truly enjoy what you do.
I
have compiled a short list of resources below to help you in
your real estate endeavors. Best of luck in everything you do.
